LKJ INKART

North Billerica, MA resident Liz Jegasothy is all about color, color and more color! Liz has been interested in arts & crafts since childhood. She was heavily involved in graphic design in high school and studied art (and Spanish) in college. Over the years, Liz has always had something creative going on (photography, coloring, graphic design, color consultancy, crochet, sewing, Power of Flowers, etc...).

After years in corporate America, and after her son was settled into school, Liz had more time and decided to pursue more creative endeavors. One day while browsing Pinterest she discovered alcohol inks. After seeing how magical alcohol inks are, she had to get her hands on some. At the time, Liz was very involved with the Power of Flowers Project and was very inspired by the beauty and the colors of the flowers. As she began painting with alcohol inks and sharing them with friends at the Project, they encouraged her to start selling her work and LKJ InkArt was built from there.

LKJ InkArt creates original alcohol ink paintings as well as reproductions on various substrates including greeting cards, matted prints, decorative tiles, resin art, functional art (keychains, magnets, bookmarks) and more! In the early days, Liz turned to the many fantastic creators online that graciously share their tips and techniques. Through those creators she learned the ins and outs of the medium and, from there, began to develop her

own style, which leans towards the abstract...and LOTS of color!

"Did I mention that color gives me life? Creating is an escape. Time just for me doing something that brings me and other people joy."

So what's next for LKJ InkArt?

"I don’t think too much about future goals as relates to LKJ InkArt. I just try to enjoy the ride and where it takes me. That said, I’m enjoying developing new products and different ways to share my art. I’m currently exploring some new processes that allow me to get my art onto more 'stuff'. "
